I wanted to change up my home exercises a bit, so ordered a set of resistance bands. Was around NZ $20 for a set of 5 bands with different levels of resistance that can be used separately or in combination, handles, ankle straps, a door anchor and a carry bag. The resistance bands have clips to attach to the handles. I looked online for some workouts to try. I'll put some I tried here (partly so I can find them easily again for next time until I know the exercises). One useful tip I learned was to put the door anchor by a hinge of a door, so it's extra secure. I tried these exercises with the lightest of the 5 bands so start with (even if it felt easy). Resistance bands with Door anchorI did notice however that the exercise that was called a 'triceps' pulldown wasn't actually using the triceps. As others had commented, the elbows should stay at the sides for triceps. The exercises actually mimic using weights machines the gym (I have had phases of going to the gym but always quit after a year or so, as I don't like the gym environment). Resistance Band workout for upper bodyThis was a nice tutorial. I used the door anchor by the door hinge though, after learning that tip. Exercises start at 1:08. Resistance band exercises for glutesTried these exercises. All were using the bands, holding the handles. Exercises start at 1:54.
